BTDA EXAMINATIONS
Why Exams?
This is a brilliant way for your child to develop an understanding and knowledge of dance in greater depth.
We love to work with our Wednesday exam students as they want to further technique, this assists them with a quicker progression, knowledge, and the understanding. This then helps them more within their competition work and general classes.
Our Green Stars & Pink Stars Groups cover exam technique within their Wednesday class as we feel it is good for them to start technique from young.
Learning and taking dance exams is optional for our group 1, 2, 3 & 4 students as this is an additional day to their Friday classes.
Why An Exam Session Is Like An Ofted Inspection To Us
An examination session is like an of Ofsted to us as we have a marking criteria which assesses our; STUDIO FLOOR, STUDIO SPACE, BARRE STABILITY, HEIGHT, LIGHTING SOUND QUALITY, OPERATOR, TOILET AND CHANGING FACILITIES, EXECUTION OF THE PROGRAMME OF STUDY, DISCIPLINE OF CANDIDATES, NUMBERING OF CANDIDATES, EFFICIENCY OF CENTRE & INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES
These are taken very seriously and we expect no less than 90% a session, we have only ever had 92% or above!
Take a look at the rewards our students attain when successfully completing each exam with us below....
Have a look below at the points our students can achieve when taking a grade 1 or above. These help them with their UCAS applications
