GENERAL INFORMATION FOR JOINING OUR GROUP 1 OR 2 CLASSES

Here is the information you need to know following up your enquiry for your child to join our friendly dance school. 

🌈Your child would join our (please acknowledge the group that is best suited for your child in the message sent to you)
Group 1 class 4-7pm  £15 a session First session FREE! Includes a 45 minute Primary exam technique session! (4-4:45)

OR
Group 2 class 4-7pm £15 a session First session FREE! Includes a 45 minute Primary exam technique session! (4-4:45)

on a Friday. Arrive 5 minutes before class starts.
Within this fun and educational class your child will be taught Ballet, Tap, Modern, acrobatics, singing and more. 
🔔The venue is the Green Lanes Christian Fellowship Church Hall RM8 1DJ
👋There isn’t a waiting room so drop off and pick up is needed.
🚪 Entrance is through the front of the building and the exit is to the side of the building. Our venue has a car park.

PAYMENT 
💸Either by cash or bank transfer, Lesson fees are to be paid at the beginning of each lesson and if your child is absent 1 lesson, that payment is to be paid on the return the week after. So pay if you attend or not**This rule applies to lots of clubs, not just us, like swimming, brownies, scouts, gyms, other dance schools etc. Monthly payments are preferred but paying weekly is acceptable. We however do have a list of reasons of being excused to pay for example: attending a funeral, broken a bone, hospitalised, chicken pox, school trips (education), dance productions. Over all it is the principals discretion. 

ATTENDANCE 
🙏We ask that attendance is regular and that you encourage your child to do well within class.The first lesson is free to see if they like it!

WHAT TO WEAR/ BRING? 
👚Bring your child in something they can move in like leggings, trousers, T-shirt. Not jeans please. 
💧Bring a Water bottle. 
👱🏽‍♀️Hair for girls is expected to be in a bun for every class (you will find this at most dance schools as we follow the Etiquette of dance) lots of quick tutorials on YouTube of how to put hair into a bun!   
💍Jewellery and valuables are brought and worn at owners risk. We take no responsibility for anything going missing or being broken. 
🦠No chewing gum for safety reasons.

🙂If your child enjoys their first FREE lesson with us and would like to carry on classes, after 4 weeks, uniform is needed and is bought from us. If you wish to get it before this is fine. 
Please do not attempt to by uniform online or from a shop as we have certain makes and styles of uniform that have our students wear much like school uniform. (You will find this at lots of other dance schools not just ours)
We have used, clean, uniform which is much cheaper than the brand new uniform. Some people prefer to have second hand as it looks just the same as new but that’s personal preference (Used uniform is only subject to what is in stock at the time) our new uniform is mostly always available. 

WHAT CAN MY CHILD BE INVOLVED IN? 
👯‍♀️They will be involved with shows, events, competitions and parents demonstrations.
Competitions and events are optional to perform at but our annual show is the only event we say they must attend. 

👯‍♂️Our annual show is performed at the Broadway Theatre Barking. We have 2 shows across 2 days. The whole of our school performs so friends and family can see a display of all classes and the talent that we have within our school.

WHAT OTHER CLASSES COULD MY CHILD ATTEND WITH YOU? 
🏅Exam classes already included for you! For a child who hasn't taken dance exams or is new to dance, we have from 4-4:45pm the chance to massively progress quicker with their technique & knowledge of dance.  When taking all 4 primary exams they can then progress onto grade 1 level which is every Wednesday. From grade 1 they start to gain UCAS points which will later help them to get into university! 🏅

🤸🏼‍♀️Tuesdays we have for boys and girls, acrobatics within one class. from age 4+ -  4:30-5:30- £6 a session.🤸🏾

💥We have Street dance Classes, boys and girls, on a Thursday, from age 6+ : 4:15-5pm £5 a session.

✅Your child will be safe with us. We have been open for 40+ years now and all our teachers  hold qualifications and experience to teach dance  and are DBS checked 
A first aider is always on site.✅

✏️An enrolment/ agreement form will be given to you at the end of their first class confirming further all Information. 

💊Last of all, it is important that you tell us if your child has any medical or learning disabilities we should know about. A free trial class is in place for everyone who joins our school to see if they can listen and try to attempt everything asked of them.
